Deserts and Scrubs Galleries

Great Sand Dunes National Park : This was the second part a great trip that we (Arpi, Mona, Charles, Toby and I) did on the last weekend of August/first weekend of September. The rain that had joined us on the first part of the trip continued to dog us for this one (in fact, it followed us back to Lawrence, KS, and stayed for over a week and half!). But what a unique opportunity to see the fantastic patterns emerge on the dunes after they have been soaked! And I think the stormy/cloudy skies made the horizon so much more dramatic anyway!
